  1. I would suggest Fish.  Not gold fish and not salt water fish.  You can let her pick them and feed them.  Put fun things in the tank like colorful coral or bridges for the fish to swim about.  You can count them daily.  Include some bottom feeders and or an algae eater to make finding them fun.  Only I would suggest finding a good pet dealer.  I had a bunch of trouble with Petsm... as they told me some aggressive fish would live well with some schooling fish and since they had been eaten I had nothing to take back to get my money back.  My daughter loved her fish and added small plastic gems to the bottom.  She did over feed them a few times and they did get sick from this.  When they died they got flushed and we prayed.  It was a great lesson in life responsibility and death and then we got another fish to replace the dead one.   We never got expensive fish so when mistakes happened it was sad but not expensive and we could let her try again.

  2. Good question.... I was definitely thininking dog or cat. Can't go with a small animal (eg. Hampster, etc) because they're just too fragile. I would stay away from reptiles that young and birds as well.

Geez.... I'm leaning towards a puppy.

  3. I agree with the bearded dragons, although they cost around $100 dollars plus they require a large terrarium and a small HID light. Mine eat dozens of crickets every day plus lots of greens. The kids absolutely love the dragons, they are very docile and will not bite. They are also very easy to take care of.

  4. it depends, how much care are you willing to put into this pet, because you are going to be the one providing the care for it, because a three year old isnt old enough to take care of a pet.plus you are going to have to watch it and the child together.baby wont know how to handle a pet and the pet will have to be watched around the child too. fish are good, low maintainance, fun to watch, cant harm your child in any way (as long as they dont crawl in the tank lol)

  5. I personally LOVED having ferrets growing up cuz they are kind of just like a cat in that they use a litter bow, but like a dog because they are So playful, like a hamster cuz you can keep them in a cage and they arent as unpredictable as a guinea pig or hamster as they can bite and bite HARD. I want to get our family a ferret very soon as well so thought I would mention it. Do some research they are about $100 at any pet store and come with all their shots and fixed already they dont shed and of course you'll have to buy them a pretty big cage too... Good luck!

  6. A gold fish or a bunny rabit maybe.idk

  7. either a fish or if she wants one to play with try a hamster or guinea pig.  they are small and easy to care for.  plus they teach responsibility!

  8. A bearded dragon you only have to feed them twice a week and spray w/ water every day they are also very nice and inexpensive
