  1. well, i have corn snakes, mice, fish, and a dog.  i've had rats, parakeets, bunny, and cats, also.  no turtle, though.  if you like fuzzy little critters, mice (or rats, if you want it to be more social) are good. pro:  take up relatively little space, easy to keep, easy to feed.  rats will play more with you.  Con:  you have to clean the cage regularly.  (i do not have rats anymore as I really do not like the way they smell).  bunnys are kinda like that, except everything is on a bigger scale and there is more mess to clean up. Fish are neat to look at, but not really "pets" in the sense that you can really mess with them.  pro:  interesting, relatively easy to get into (if you ask the right people the right questions about aquarium care), and they don't require extensive care.  con:  the supplies can be costly and you don't get to pet them.  from what i know about turtles, the pros are that they live a long time, and are relatively easy to care for, also.  Con:  not really a fuzzy wuzzy pet.  birds:  very messy....  pro:  you can train them to do little tricks, and they will interact with you.  be careful though, if you get into parrots etc. they require a lot of attention as they are very smart and require care almost like a small child in order to not be bored and start misbehaving...

my favorite pet (besides my dog) are the corn snakes.  they are very interesting, you can hold them and "play" with them (about as much if not more as with a turtle).  you need a tank/cage and a heater (similar to turtle "equipment").  they are also not overly expensive and need to be fed once a week, so relatively low maintenance (clean out cage weekly as needed).  the only thing that might be a problem is that they eat mice, and some people don't have a stomach for that (you can buy frozen mice at the pet stores).  oh, and make sure the tank is secured so it can't get out....(lost one before - but found it...)

    my vote:  not fuzzy:  snake

                     fuzzy:  mouse/rat

  2. If you have room a horse is great fun or a rabbit the dwarf ones are cute ...we had a cockatoo he was wonderful but they live so long they can outlive their owners (we inherited him) I also had a budgie he was a good friend and they are easy to tame.  He used to ring like a mobile phone and then say HELLO it was cute.  Good luck and if you like animals have you seen the lion clip on utube?  Have a look(its worth it) just search for Christian the lion and watch it...it  is so humbling.  Animals.... you cant fool them.  Have a good day from Sandy.

  3. Turtles are really cute.  But you can't really play with a turtle.  Guinea pigs, hamsters, and rabbits can be very friendly.  You must keep their cages clean.  I have 2 pet rabbits and they are litterbox trained.  Its pretty easy with rabbits.

If you have never owned one of these pets, I suggest picking up a book at the pet store.  They can be very helpful.  They will give all sorts of tips and information.

  4. maybe a little gecko!!

    i ♥ geckos!!

  5. Well that really depends on what kind of person you are.  Turtles and fish are ok yet you can't really cuddle them.  Guinea Pigs you can cuddle but they are loud.  Mice and Rats make good pets (Rats more so cause they're easier to hold) but some people are creeped out by rodents.  Hamsters also make good pets but they bite and are excellent escape artists.  I'd go with a rabbit, Rabbits are good natured, cuddly, can be taught tricks, make no noise (unless you make them mad and they growl at you), and they're pretty easy to take care of.

  6. gecko mite be cool but you can't really cuddle them.  I suggest like a rabbit, but i would get a guinea pig.

they are the cutest things and i think they're low maintenance.  If u got a guinea pig, i would get 2 baby males because they get lonely by themselves.

    i love my guinea pigs!!

  7. i totally suggest you get a cockatoo or a budgie.  they're fairly low maintenance and can have the greatest personalities  ^_^  they're so cheerful and can be good companions!
