g'day mate, well i think there is no real clear cut answer to that, what i would suggest you do is go to your golf club, ask to try a few diff p/wedges, go out and spend some time practicing with them, and choose for yourself, some have thicker bottom edges, some thinner, all depends how you hit your wedges.

personally i like a thinner blade, bit harder to find now, but i like to get under the ball and throw it up, as every one does with a p/wedges, i just find the club head doesn't bounce of the surface, causing a 'thinned it' shot.

where the ball flies off low and fast, making you look like an idiot.

hope of been of some help to you mate, golf is a gr8 game, we love it here in Australia, i can play 12 months a year where i live, so I'm very lucky, on a peter Thomson(5 time British open winner, Aussie boy) course. $400 a year.
