I would say somewhere high in altitude with not too many city lights.  Like maybe San Cristobal de las Casas.  Try it and let me know what you see.

try a spot in the desert, away from big city lights or try places like Copper Canyon in Chihuahua, the towns in that area are very small, there are hotels in high elevetation spots and the places is beautiful.
