  1. Try Clube Albufeira, you won't be sorry.

    search through Holiday-Rentals.

  2. The Algarve is great i loved it but that was some years ago

ant way the source link below should help

the Trip Advisor link will be your best bet

    hope this helps

    and have fun

  3. Got to tell you that it's very expensive in july and august. If I was planning a holiday I'd forget those months. October is still nice and not so hot that you can't breath. Google hotel Zodiaco Quatereira Algarve tel:00351289381420 ask for Ruis the manager for a price. Flights to Faro are cheaper Oct also.

  4. The Western unspoilt Algarve is the nicest as high buildings are not allowed as it is a national park. Salema and Figuera are lovely in the Villa de Bispo area. There are lots of hotels in Salema. Salema is a lovely small fishing village where the fisherman go out in rowing boats twice a day and you can buy fresh fish from them! There is a good cafe (avoid the tourist trap seafront ones which are a rip off) on the hill up towards the supermarket going up out of the west (left) side of the square. They have wonderful fresh tuna steak with vegetables and a sardine pate with bread starter for only 6 euros in 2003 so a bit more now but still was lovely and good value at lunchtime.

You get there by train from Faro to Lagos then a bus to Salema which doesn't take long. The rail times are at www.cp.pt

  5. Algarve has a lot of good beaches, if you go to a city, you have more people, confusion and if you say you have  kids i  advice you to look for one acomodation in one apart hotel, because sometimes the houses to rent are a bit old see..you should try in the travel agency they can give you many options.Vila Real de Santo António is nice,Monte Gordo too, then you have the cities: Portimão, Lagos and Faro where you also have the airport.Ohh also try to stay close the beach so you don't need to drive with the kids it's a bit confusing in August summertime, but also very nice and fun.You will enjoy for sure!!!
