Well...depends what your looking for. Do you want to see the touristy places or not ?

I ve travelled through CR in March and october, nov and dec 2007. Im in Panama now, I will go back in March to CR.

I loved nature wise :

Peninsula de Osa : Bahia Drake ( diving )

Puerto Jimenez ( monkeys, tucans, scarlett macaws, alligators in Parrot Bay)

Lake Arenal ( route Canas, Tileran, Arenal, Fortuna)

Area south of Cartago ( Valley of Orosi, Urraja)

The coast Pacific as Guanacaste (Tamarindo Beach) and Puntarenas (Manuel Antonio National Park).

This place has many many beautiful beaches, animals, flowers y also forest.

Okay, what type of vacation do you want.

This is a great location for adventure tourism, eco-tourism, and beach bumming and surfing. The Caribbean coast is more afro-caribbean with reggae and calypso vibes. Guanacaste is surf and sun with a variety of beaches and surf levels. The OSA is all about sustainable living and conserving the rain forest. Here you will find great deep sea fishing, bird watching and there is some surfing. Manuel Antonio is a nice spot with a Beautiful pacific coast national park.
