  1. i used clear blue for my last 2 pregnancies, the "normal" one the first time and that was positive and digital for my current pregnancy, both came up straight away. they are a bit pricey but ive never heard of an incorrect reading with clear blue.

also, first response are supposed to be just as good, a few of my friends used them and they were all accurate!

  2. i used a tescos one and it was gr8 the reson i got it was becuase it was cheep i used it a day after i was due on x

  3. I can't say I've used that many different tests. On my first pregnancy, I tested the day after my missed period and on my current, I tested on the day. I got a positive both times and both times, I used Tesco's own brand tests, which I tried mostly because they were cheap at less than £4 for a pack of 2. I'm proof that they work, they detected both my pregnancies at an early stage.

  4. First Response a few days before my period was due.  It's really accurate!!!

  5. Clear Blue digital test.. very accurate, the digital takes out the guesswork, i used it a day before my period was due..

    Good luck!

  6. I think they are all the same.  I used the cheap dollar store pregnancy test and although the line was faint it clearly indicated that I was pregnant.... a line is a line.  Then I went to the drugstore and bought a more expensive one and it confirmed what the dollar store one said.  Then I bought a few more pregnancy tests at the dollar store (I really wanted to be sure)  and used them in the mornings that followed and they confirmed my pregnancy with a much clearer line.  By the way I hadn't missed my period yet and was only 1 and a half weeks after conception.

  7. first response, 4 days before my period was due.

  8. I like the clear blue non-digital ones.  I tried supermarket own brands and they gave me negative results quite a lot, but clear blue always came up with the right answer . . .a positive!  Its easy to use and you get a clear result quickly.  I used them about a week after my period was due with both of my children (first one i knew i was pregnant so only took the test as a definite confirmation, second i thought i wasnt pregnant, supermarket tests kept giving a negative but never got my period, was a week late when i bought a clear blue).  I think they are all pretty much the same but i think that with a brand name one you are paying for the quality and reliability.  Good luck!

  9. i used clear blue with my first.

My second tescos (were something like 2 for £4)

Both showed positive results so they both were good

  10. clear blue and first response they pick up HCG 5 days before your period is due and i have never had any problems with them i would recommend them for there accuracy

  11. Clear blue I used. It worked a couple of days before my missed period. £11 for a pack of too so not too bad

  12. I have used so many tests as i was trying for my second baby for nearly 2 years!

I bought some cheap tests on ebay, they were £1.50 for 10, and although they worked well, (they detected my pregnancy 3 days before my period was due) i just didn't believe them! it was more because i was so shocked to finally get a positive result and because they were so cheap i thought they must be wrong! it wasn't until i used a Clear Blue Digital pregnancy test that i actually believed i was pregnant!

I have heard loads of people using the cheap Tesco or Asda tests and they worked perfectly but personally, i do prefer Clear Blue, although they're so much more money, i just trust them a lot more AND the digital tests are so easy to read, i find with the ones you need to look for the 'cross' or '2 stripes' drive me insane as i always convinced myself i could see the 'positive' line, with the CB digital there was no going crazy, it just says PREGNANT or NOT PREGNANT. Mind you, they are £14 for 2 so lots more money!

    :-)

  13. I used those strip ones from Pound Shop would you believe. They worked every time on the day my period was due. I have 3 kids and used the strips every time I thought I was pregnant and I was always right. The strips even showed I was pregnant with a baby that had died in my womb and the doctors kept saying there was nothing there. It's only when I went for a scan that it showed up. It's up to you what you use - some people have a stronger pregnancy hormone than others. Good luck if you are pregnant or trying.

  14. well im in ireland and the Tesco ones are brilliant and affordable.  They detect a tiny amount of the pregnancy hormone.  I used them  as soon as I was due my period

  15. first response gave me + almost week b4 my period was due however i also used the cheap chemist own brand which also gave me +

i used mine at lunch time they were +

then used them again ( new 1s ) next morning just to make sure

most doctors dont retest u  because the tests u buy over the counter are as good as the 1s they use

  16. I used a no name brand dollar test I bought off eBay.

I used them, because they were cheap, and I had heaps, since I was TTC.

I used one, and tested positive on it, 2 days before my period was due.

  17. Clearblue digital, although it is expensive it can give you an accurate result before your period is due and their is something definite about reading "pregnant" or "not pregnant" rather than looking for lines.

I used it a couple of days before my period was due.
