Whats the best property block to have a monopoly on in monopoly?

Personally, I prefer the Oriental Ave properties and the Orange properties.

purple spaces right by the go mark.  Not much rent but with hotels it's like 500 bucks a pop and adds up quick.

well i'm not sure if your version has the same colour coding as mine since mine is old, but i always buy the death trap area just before GO. the most expensive ones and people land on them loads. or the middle properties on every side. coz if you get all 4 the mortgage goes up ;D and so does the rent if people land on them haha!

I dominate when I get all four railroads and the Green Props(Penn, Carolina,Pacific). Try it!!

I like the Orange and Red sets... tend to catch people on their way out of Jail.

Stat wise - Illinois Ave is the most hit space on a Monopoly board.  So I would have to say the REDS for that reason.  The oranges are cheaper to build on & still give you quite a bit of money so I think getting that cornor works best!

I like being the slumb lord, and buying Baltic and the blue ones.  LOL!  To make up for it, I usually buy the railroads.

The orange, light blue, and the railroads because everyone lands on them so you make a lot of money.

railroads are always a killer and then of course there are the dark greens.

i say the dark blue because when someone goes on it with hotels it's over.

The best places really are Boardwalk and park place. Land on those with a hotel and your in a world of hurt.

It depends on the situation but generally the Oranges are the most profitable monopoly because it is six, eight and nine spaces away from the most landed on space, Jail/Just Visiting. The Dark Blues are overrated and overpriced. The Utilities are worthless. The Railroads lose value as the game progresses. Nobody ever goes bankrupt on the Dark Purples, Light Blues or Light Purples. The Greens are expensive to develop which is okay if you have the cash.
