Whats the best protective gear i can buy for sportbike riding?

i was thinking a one piece leather racing suite but looking around the bike shop i cant find any. r these any good or able to be found? so i was thinking a armoured leather jacket and pants would work good. i just got my learners and will be getting a 600cc supersport, i want to be fully protected.

Go to the secondhand shops.

I bought leather good quality cheap

when you ride say to yourself that car in front of me does not know i am here.

use your eyes as a radar continually sweeping the road.

careful when you look into mirrors it only taked a second on bikes to go wrong.

cars pull out in front of you because they have drivers with thick glasses no peripheral vision.

One pieces, I swear by them - but I don't buy them from a motorcycle shop at all I have them tailor made, (bespoke) as I do a lot of riding (and racing before I retired last season)sometimes for many hours.

I don't wear much under my leathers and am very fussy about comfort, especially under my arms and crutch region !! I spend a lot of money on them as quality is as important as comfort. I also like a few different styles,designs and colours to suit my mood (like some girlie's with shoes & bags).

The company that make them are called BKS - I rate them the at the top end of the market.

You could not find any one piece suits?

You must only have small bike clothing shops near you I guess.

Do you live in the UK ? If so, you are more then welcome to email me with your location, and ill send you a list a great shops near ( ish ) to you.

Your other option is bespoke. These one off suits dont come cheap, but you will never get a off the peg to fit like a bespoke.

Your thinking is excellent, however if you can't find any, try going online for them, like Ebay, they have an excellent selection of racing leathers, but first have someone measure you for correct size for them.
