  1. tea-tree oil or lavender essential oil a little bit dabbed on the spot  always  works for me

  2. Bariberis Aquafolia Q 10 drops in equal amount of Glycerine. with a cotton apply it on face and wash when dry.  There will be natural heat which open up the pores and perspire, cleaning up the face.  Wash the face thereafter with Sarasaparilla Q 20 drops in water.  (Close the eyes when washing)

Toothpast contains Magnesium Oxide which is good for cleaning spots on skin.  It works.

Aloe Vera is excellent in gel direct from the plant to the face.  Its cleaning power is excellent.

If the spots are black use Arsenic Album 30 few doses.

If the spots are copper coloured or yellow coloured,  use Sepia 30 few doses. Should not use milk while using Sepia.

For birth marks use Calcaria Flour 6X for a long period, internally 3 doses a day.

Scars of pimples :  Phytolacca Dec. or Kali Iodide (check other symptoms)

Scars of vaccination, after piples, blotches and ulcers - Silicea

Scars of Small Pox and chicken pos - Variolinum 1000(Use under supervision of doctor) Thuja Occ 1M (in consultation with doctor)

Scars can be blended with the normal skin by using Coconut oil daily massaging on them.

For healing and septic conditions of tatoo -  Lachesis 200.(one dose)

Neem leaf and raw turmeric ground together into a paste should be applied on face for scars and black hue on face.

Basal and Raw turmeric ground together into paste and applied on face removes scars.

Have you tried any of these or all of these.   Good luck.

  3. Since you pose the question in "Alternative medicine", there is a excessively natural way to get rid of acne spots.

Old woman's tale maybe but oral s*x cure it quite quickly.

I am not trying to be rude or dirty. I was told that when I was 16 and later with my first girlfriend we experimented, it did work. within less than 2 weeks, all my spots where gone and never came back.  Trust me, I had quite some.

  4. i always used toothpaste it cleared them up and now i hardly ever get spots xx

  5. Tea tree oil is very good for spots, ensure though that you do not apply it to open sores/spots.

  6. A flannel or towel as hot as you can bare over your face.

It will open the paws of your skin and release the spots.

  7. aloe vera leaf, works wonders in 2 days.

  8. Toothpaste. Put a dab on top of the spot and it will dry the spot out.

  9. A great natural remedy which works better than OTC medications (but not as well as some prescription treatments) is a tincture of vinegar (or 90 proof alcohol,) several ounces of fresh grated horseradish, a pinch of nutmeg and a peel of bitter orange.  Mix in a jar. and apply liquid to spots with a cotton swab.

If it doesn't help, go see a dermatologist.

  10. Depends how bad your skin is.  If you have severe acne then the best treatment is available from your doctor who may decide you need a course of antibiotics or can prescribe you with a topical solution.

If you are just getting one or two and want to zap them quick then I've tried Freederm gel (from chemists)which dries them out really quickly but you have to be careful of the surrounding skin as this can get very dry.

Try applying a dab of toothpaste on the spot when you go to bed. This also helps to dry it out.

You need to be using a gentle exfoliator about 3 times a week. This will shift dead skin cells and help prevent blackheads.

Don't use anything too harsh on your skin as this will make the spot situation worse.

  11. have you tried freederm?

it worked absolute wonders on my skin, seriously this stuff works. but you do have to use it every morning and evening in replacement of your usual products.

its a cleanser, so all you do is splash your face with warm water to open your pores, and rub a small amount into your skin. when wipe or rinse off. splash your face with col water after to close your pores again.

  12. tea tree oil

  13. I would second the toothpaste, I usually find it quite effective, and haven't used anything else as, er, "spot" treatment for spots for about 10 years!

I'd also recommend the "Cupcake" fresh face mask by Lush as a whole face (or chest, back, anywhere else you get breakouts) treatment - I find it really good for keeping hormonal breakouts at bay.

Lush also do nice soaps with the Rhassoul mud in too - they are lovely for exfoliating your skin and not too drying so they shouldn't bump up the oil production.

  14. If you have tried the usual over the counter remedies, go see your GP. Generally he will chose topical or oral antibiotics, depending on the severity and distribution of your spots. These are both very effective, but do need to be used quite long term.

  15. drink lots of fresh water, eat lots of fresh vegetables,

cut out as much fatty and processed foods - eg sweets, pop drinks, pasties, crisps etc.

Wash in warm water and gently wash your face with a flannel - personally i dont use products - just water morning and night.

Once your hormones settle down they will go, just try not to pick at them and cover up stick just makes them look worse - healthy lifestyle is the only option i can recommend ( im nearly 40 now and had teenage nightmare spots, that i picked)

short term the toothpaste trick above works great/.
