  2. The IOW has alot of great places to eat, especially outdoors in the summer.  There are lots of places which specialise in seafood, but great pub grub is also available too.  Here are some suggestions by category:

    Seafood: Salty's, Yarmouth or Crab & Lobster, Bembridge

    Al Fresco: The Boathouse, Steephill Cove, Ventnor - when it is hot this cannot be beaten, but the really only serve fresh crab, lobsters and prawns from the bay you overlook.

    Michelin Star: The George, Yarmouth

    Gastronomic: The Pond, Bonchurch

    Pub Grub: The New Inn, Shalfleet

    Pub Beer: The Traveller's Joy, Northwood

    Indian: Saffron, Cowes
