  1. Alot of people would say flyhalf (10) is the best position as you are the play maker but there are many key positions over the pitch that depending on your view of the game can be just as important. Number 8 is the talisman of the pack the big bruising forward who steers the scrum and doesnt take a backward step in attack of in defence think of Sebastian Chabel of France or Lawrence Dellagio of England. Also the open side flanker is widely regarded as the best position as the person regarded as the best player in world rugby (Ritchie Macaw) plays here and if your going to be a good rugby team you need a good open side flanker to turn over oposition ball and to secure your own ball on the ground.

But my favorite position would be Full back, I play this position and you need to be able to run like a winger, tackle like a flanker, kick like a fly half and also be able to pick a running line in attack and organise your defence.....the responibilty of the full back is second to none as he is the last line of defence as well as in alot of cases the first person in a counter attack.

When it comes down to it there are 15 players on the pitch and all of them are special in their own way and a good player is usually only as good as the players around him on a rugby team.

  2. To me: Flanker, because you have to run a lot, tackle a lot, defend a lot, attack a lot, need to be skillfull, strong, fast, agile, quick-minded, and your skill often defines the game.

  3. Hooker - you get lots of action.

  4. Hooker (2)' cos it's the best place to keep warm and the front rows can have god'ol chat whilst waiting for the put in!

  5. Full back.  You've 14 mates between you and the oppo.

  6. i play hooker and its such a good position being on the frontline

  7. It depends on experience

from my experience i prefer hooker however some people prefer other positions somepreffer the bench

  8. First Five-Eights. Number 10.

Play maker, First receiver, Goal kicker.

    Its where the actions at!

  9. ref or linesman. you do f@#* all and when you do something you cok it up. and for that 70 million frogs love you and so do 65 million poms because they don't get NZ in the semifinal.after the cup is over you can move to the south of frog land an live out the rest of your life.

  10. On the field or in the shower....................lol

  11. scrum half, like Peter Stringer.  You handle the ball a lot and have the chance to open up opportunities for your team.

  12. Anywhere in the back row, simply because you are involved more than any other player. No7 is usually the most involved, but 6 and 8 tend to carry the ball more often.

Wings and full-backs despite scoring tries can go 80 minutes without touching the ball.

  13. Hard to say as its a team game and each team needs all 15 but the fly half dictates the play, can change the pace of the game and makes key decisions so id say its one of the best.
