  1. Sealed Box Volume 1.0 - 4.6 cubic feet

Ported Box Volume 1.75 - 2.25 cubic feet

the bigger the box, the deeper the bass will be

  2. If you find a shop that can build the box, they can likely tune the box as well. What this consist of is a simple math equation to match the size of the port to the size of the box, and make them both harmonically maximize on the natural resonant frequency of the subwoofer. It will make it so the it should never bottom out, and gain up to 8db's (which is nearly double the volume) at it's tuning frequency, which judging by kickers rating of 26.1 hz on the spec sheet, i think those subs could rumble.  the manual suggest an enclosure that is 2.25 cubic feet + port displacement for maximum "boom" effect.

I have worked a lot with ported enclosures in the competition application, to maximize the output of many drivers, they work well when built right.
