  1. A constant speed... but I have heard that the ideal speed is 55-60 mph depending on the vehicle.  Anything beyond that and the mileage starts to go down exponentially.  Experiment with your Deville.

Back to constant speed - drive like your on eggs... anticipate stops and try and time it so you don't have to start from a dead stop at every light.

This is going to p**s off those jerks who have to race up to the red light, slamm on their brakes and then gun it to get going - they're seriously using twice as much gas as you for the whole shennanigan.

It takes some patience and practice to drive smooth and casual - you gotta get used to people pressuring you from behind or cutting you off cuz they think you are a G-Pa.

Eff em... where are they going to go?  Stopped in front of you that's where... and then to the gas station sooner.

    Cruize brothah, Cruize.

  2. 55 Highway

    25 City..

But just don't drive like that when I'm behind you..

  3. Turn on the fuel mileage display and figure it out for yourself.  55 works pretty good for me.  I probably wouldn't go that slow on the interstate, though, for safety reasons.

  4. 45 MPH is the stated best speed for economy.  However, you'd better get used to taking a lot of guff from other drivers.

  5. The hwy speed is 49 mph for MSRP  but the best mileage is slowest in the highest transmission gear (4th gear) about 45 mph and about 1000 rpm.
