so far the best i found is the use of rotten watermelon and cabbage-for rabbits

and for squirrels is a ball of peanut butter covered with corn with ground up acorns in it

i put bird seed and davids sunflower seeds and a can of salted peanuts in my big hanging bird feeder. its been great for having squrrils in but not many birds other than blue jays and finches.
