The best stock trades I've ever made are the ones that made me a profit, regardless of the dollar amount,

Making money is not always the important factor in trading and/or investing, it's protecting what you have.  So if you can lock in profits or reduce losses when you invest/trade you do very well for yourself

In 2005 I wanted to invest in euros so I chose a blue chip company in euroland. I selected Volkswagen and they are currently up 350% ( even after the recent shake-up)

Made a gross amount of money in a few months on VMW when it was first offered...I think it was from $ 47.00 to $ 123.00

A few years ago, my computer was broke down on the day BIDU came out ( at about $23.00 ) ...THAT is the biggest heartbreak !

Made $4 a share selling Intel a few weeks ago.

I'm very into Prosper now. Invested like 20 grand on there.

DXP Enterprises (DXPE)

I bought back 2002 at $1.09 a share it went up to about $60.00 a share a last year I do believe. I still own it so I say long.
