also, set some traps and even sacrifices..

ask yourself 'what's his purpose of putting his chess piece on that position?'

well, to get into your opponents head, read his first moves and make assumptions, risky but if your right you can get a huge advantage. Set up traps and create senarios in your head and see which one works.

Cheat!  If you're playing online chess your opponent will never know if you let a chess program (e.g. Chessmaster xxxx) make the moves for you.  But then again maybe he'll figure it out if your moves are too good to be true.

search chess on google and theres instructions or something and at the bottem of the screen u can face this comp called j-master or something, he starts off the same like everything time i suggest doing what he does. good luck

Offensive. Advance as much as possible and keep on pushing forwards. This is how I play and I win alot of chess games.  Get your queen out aswell, she is your most important unit (apart from the king) and she must be protected. I hope that thsi has helped.
