hey wats good to catch bass with and how big can a normal bass get up to and weigh?

Bass can grow in the southern U S two even three times as fast as the northern U S an eight pound bass in Minnesota might be as old as twenty years but in Florida an eight pounder might only be four years old. the best baits for you in the water you will be fishing are the baits that immolate to the tee exactly what the natural forage is for that water (only) sure certain baits work universally but knowing what they are and practicing how to present them and where is your dedication to your success. a bass box with a decent assortment of lures, plastics and terminal tackle is truly limitless in scope but crank baits that look like the bait fishes in your water are mandatory. Grubs in three sizes and four colors for spring fishing mandatory. Plastic worms, tubes and lizards mandatory. Spinner baits and jigs all with interchangeable skirts (color changes for water clarity and season and depth) mandatory. worm hooks weights swivels and leader line mandatory. But for any one of us to pick out the specifics without knowing the water you are on....  impossible

It might depend on where you're fishing, but a good bait is hotdog.  Just cut a little peice of a hotdog and hook it on there good, and you're probably going to catch something if it's in the water.  I've never messed with any jigs or lures and that kind of thing, just because it has never worked for me.  Maybe it's because I'm just not a very good fisherman.  Either way, you should give hotdogs a try.

Hey, there, you know what? I've had relatively good success on crickets.  You'll catch a lot of bream in the process (bluegill, green sunfish, crappie), but I swear, it's true! I was fishing a lake on my uncle's property in South Carolina using a cane pole and it was my last cricket; he opened his mouth and flared his gills, normal bass behavior. As to the second part of your question, an average size bass will most likely reach anywhere from 2 - 3 pounds, sometimes 4, for the males; the females can get 5 - 6 pounds, can get 20+ pounds if the conditions are right, but very rare.

Well it depends.....

If your fishing merky waters, your not gonna fish a dull color crankbait or a blackish rubber worm. You want to use something shiny like a spinnerbait in merky waters or anything that resembles a minnow/shiner. Topwater lures even.

In clear water, ive always had luck on anything artificial.

Also, theres no such thing as a normal bass. Theres Smallmouth, Largemouth and Hybrid. Size depends on the basses vegatation

P.S Ive always had best luck on a Zoom U-tail WaterMelon Seed Worm (Texas Rig)

well, large mouth like night crawlers, minnows dead/ or alive, and a lure they sell at bass pro shops, lucky 13. Small mouth/rock bass same plus crayfish.
