Question:

Whats the best sub/amp + speaker setup for a 97 lincoln towncar?

i have wanted to put a sick system in my car for the longest. money is a big factor but i dont want to go too cheap.

ive heard for subs any 10 inch mtx, rocksford, and jl are sum of the best. and for speakers i should go for polk.

can some1 give me some input and ideas.

size, wattage, brands etc etc. thank you

  1. If you got a towncar that means you cant go small, unless youre going to do small in excess, know what I mean? I would say two 15" subs (any of the ones you've listed above) in a ported box will be perfect to get you to where you need on the bass thing, and as  for component speakers, the polk will be perfect to acheive that clarity and high sound!


  2. just make sure you either use a sealed enclosure with as much cone area as possible or a ported setup that is tuned very low around 29hz- 37hz preferably and you are going to have to have some power behind what ever you use.
