  1. I live in Spain and I know how fierce the sun is at this time of the year. I wouldn't take less than factor 40. Anyone suggesting factor 15 has no idea what the sun in July can do.

Take it easy from the start of your holiday and gradually build it up. Always in moderation. Be sensible and you'll have a great time.

  2. Hi, I just got back from spain and the temperature was around 30 degrees.  I have fairly pale skin, and I started off with a factor 15 cream for the first few days and then a factor 8 oil for the rest of the fortnight.  The only thing I burnt was my nose!!

I'd advise you not to go too low, cos you'll just burn and ruin you holiday.  Stay at least a 15 and your skin will tell you if it doesn't like it!

  3. A high factor cream as it's going to be red hot.

  4. i'm going Majorca on Sunday can't wait!

The tanning oils are good but usually have a low factor so wouldn't use these to start off with.

  5. 25 to start, 15 and then 8 if your skin allows it. Be careful its scorching over there.

  6. i would recomend p20 it lets you tan but also protects from burning

  7. at least 25+ I went to Magalluf a couple of weeks ago and it was in the 85/90's.

  8. it depends on your skin. I am Spanish and I also go to Mallorca for my vacation. I usually start with around 20 then go down to 8, but I almost never get sunburnt, I have a half tanned skin. Always be careful. The sun is strong there, especially at the beach. You can easily get sunburnt! Don't forget the face. For it I use a different cream of 25-30.

    besos!

  9. Factor 20 - it will give a great tan, people think if the use a lower factor they will get a deeper tan, this is not right - you will get the same amount of tan with high factor it just means you can stay out in the sun longer and not need to apply it so often

  10. Boots Soltan (2 for the price of 1 all summer) factor 15 or higher if you don't tan easily.

  11. I live in Spain and would use Factor 20 for the first few days.  You can then go down to Factor 15, but I wouldn't use anything less than that.  The sun is very very strong  and can do irreversible damage to the skin.   Hope you have a great holiday and go home with a safe tan.
