Love, not just s*x, but the deep calm love of a person that you have spent the major portion of your life with. And than  children and grand children

Everything about Life is great - growing up, experiencing your first love; surviving heartbreak when you realise s/he isn't "The One"; becoming a parent and learning how to shoulder that responsibility; travelling to visit other places and people; work (just think how boring life would be without a job to challenge you) - the pride you feel when your child/ren graduate, when you become a grandparent experiencing a new kind of love; surviving life's hardships such as redundancy, death in the family, lost or unrequited love .  All these things make you the person you are and make life worth living.  There's no one thing - the best thing about life is everything you experience, expecially lasting love.  And, when you retire, being busy, relishing every moment, reliving memories and taking a well earned rest.
