Hiya, I live in Dundee and we don't have much by the way of maternity shops, actually only a small selection of maternity clothes in normal shops. What would be the best town to go to for a day trip to buy reasonable priced maternity clothes? For example, Glasgow, Edinburgh etc. Any tips welcome because I am hoping to go shopping this weekend. xx

  1. Peacocks clothing http://www.peacocks.co.uk/ have some great maternity wear, some of it is actually pretty stylish, makes a mockery of the fact that maternity clothing has to be 'functional'. See the range here http://www.peacocks.co.uk/Products/Women... Cheers!

  2. Go to Glasgow Fort - where I bought all my maternity clothes.

New Look is the best for maternity clothes and reasonably priced.  Also at Glasgow Fort, Easterhouse there is Mamas and Papas, Dorothy Perkins and since they are large superstores, lots of maternity range!

    good luck

  3. Cant really recommend anywhere, I bought mines from the internet, just dont come to Falkirk, there only two shops that stocks maternity clothes

  4. If I were you, I would hit Glasgow. You can spend all day and night there shopping. Premark is pretty cheap, but don't think they a maternity department, but I'm sure you would be able to pick up a few kaftans, smock tops and baggy linen trousers very cheap, plus they those types of tops are still fashionable. Try wrap around cardigans if you want your bump to show. Also next, marks & spencers do maternity ranges which are quite nice, next jeans are very nice. You could always try mamas n papas, mothercare etc for maternity. You could always ask around anyone thats recently had a baby, a girl in my office has offered me some maternity clothes....she's trendy too, so of course I jumped at the chance. Saves you on your pocket as well I guess. Good luck and congratulations on your pregnancy.

  5. Hey!

I live in Glasgow and I think its probablly the best! I'm from Aberdeen and when I went up there to look for some clothes it was very expensive!

Glasgow also have heaps of stores with a lot of maternity clothes in them - e.g New Look on Buchannan Street

Good Luck and Congrats on the baby!!

  6. I think Glasgow is the best generally for shopping anyway.  There's maternity ranges in:

New Look (big Buchanan St. store)

Dorothy Perkins ( the one down the bottom of Buchanan St. I think)

    Mothercare (Sauchiehall St.)

    M & S (Sauchiehall St.)

    Next (Buchanan Galleries)

    H & M (Buchanan Galleries)

  7. Glasgow by far :) depending on what size you are try new look, they do a nice range of maternity wear if you smaller than a size 18 because there range only goes to a 18 and its not too bad price wise. Or you could try Asda they do maternity wear aswell, and it goes upto a size 24. :)

  8. i amnt really answering your proper question but i live in dundee and i see loads of shops selling maternity clothes, h&m have LOADS expecially in the overgate one, next beside matalan, debenhams have them in their own section, new look upstairs in overgate (you can use the plus sizes aswell because my aunty did that) and also tescos have a selection i know in the riverside one defo.

  9. Go to Glasgow, there's hundreds of places with good, reasonably prices maternity clothes there, not just in the city centre but in various other shopping parks around there.

I only know as when I was visiting family there, i stocked up on loads of clothes that were much cheaper than where we are (SE England).

    Good luck!
