Whats the best type of engineering?computer, software or electrical?

Keep an open mind and play to your strengths, fiddle around a bit in some fields and see what yo u like

I first stared thinking I was going to be a chemical engineer and then looking around found out I really liked Materials Engineering (I specialized in Ceramics), so I stuck with that.  I found it to be more practical and hands on than electrical or aero and not so dependent on Calc

Software because the others are HARDware :-).

There's no "best" engineering, only different types. Pick what you want to do.

You also forgot Civil, Chemical and Mechanical to name a few.

biggest bucks are in Petroleum and Chemical.

Whichever one you're the most interested in is the best type for you ;)  If you're thinking of taking an engineering degree, lots of colleges/universities don't make you specialize until your second year.  You have a year to talk to students in those faculties and explore the differences before you have to choose one.
