Whats the best way to bring a large amount of money...?

Hello. I am purchasing a small property in the caribbean(US territory) & I am from the US. However I belong to a small bank w/o many branches. How do I bring the money??

Modified:  Taking ANY cash out of the USA gets homeland security's attention never mind the risk of getting ripped off getting off the plane - especially with enough $$$ to buy a 'small property' in the caribbean ;)  If you can't see that, I question whether you should be trusting someone in the caribbean...  I hope you know what you are doing!!!!  If it is US territory, why do they want cash????  Sounds REAL suspect to me...  Be careful!

Sorry I missed the US territory part of your question...  but I would still be very concerned with US security carrying any big $$$ out of the continental USA.

I am very curious to hear from those that gave my original answer a thumbs down!!   What part did you not like?  Please correct me - I don't like to mis-inform people...  why don't you post your response instead of dogging on mine ;)

If it is an honest deal, even your small town bank should be able to setup a legal and very safe wire transfer to a bank in the caribbean!

Sounds to me like you are doing something illegal!!!  If so, don't post about it here ;)
