Whats the best way to cancel a 3uk contract?

Still 11 months to, am on £35 a month with £20 off every month discount..

Its a 12 months contract.

  1. It's a contract. if you want to cancel it then you must pay the full amount of the contract in order to void it.

    That said, it's a £15 a month contract in essence, now, if you said you were misled or coerced into the contract (even if this is rubbish, it's subjective) you could ring up and complain and threaten to take it to the Financial Ombudsman... this will immediately ring bells with their finance department since if you do go to the FO, it will cost you absolutely nothing to do so, but cost them a princely £450 regardless of who's favour they judge it in.

    Hence, 3 would in the majority of cases prefer not to pay out £450 for the sake of a £180 contract and after threatening them with the FO, may well just tear up your contract.

    Depends how desperate you are really.


  2. There will be no easy way to cancel a phone contract when the period is not finished.  You and the phone company have a legally binding contract which is tying you into it and is designed to be completed and not cut short.

  3. Unfortunatly there isnt a way unless you have a valid reason for doing so. If you do have a reason then go and see them in store.
