  1. To raise your credit score you need to do two things:

1 - add positive things to your credit records.  Such as paying your bills on time!

2 - Remove negative things from your records.  These may be mistakes made by the credit report companies or bills you haven’t paid!

If your problems aren’t too bad or too complicated than you can do this yourself.  This review site gives you e-books to explain the process and guide you through it:

if your problem is complex - or you just don’t have the time or patience to do it yourself then you will want to use a credit repair company.  This review site will guide you to the three best companies to use:

    Good Luck!

  2. There's no fast way to do it...

  3. Pay off all your debt. Do it quickly. Don't cancel any lines of credit, just keep them paid.

    Everything else is a scam.

Good luck. Don't burn your credit next time.

  4. pay off what you owe but leave one credit card open and use it at for gas or something small but pay it off at the end of every month

  5. You should use credit repair agency to fix your credit - for example this one - http://freecreditreport.deep-ice.com - They can clean lots of bad stuff from your credit report - and do it much faster than yourself, so your credit will go up fast.

  6. Get a copy of your credit report from all three credit bureaus: equifax, transunion and Experian

Beware of free credit reports, they usually have you apply for a credit card.  Alot of inquiries count against you.

See if there any any mistakes, contact those companies

If you see something from a while ago, that company may agree to remove it or write a letter for you to send in

The more available credit % you have the better.  Its weird. If you have a 500 limit that has $499 on it, thats actually worse than 5000 limit and having $2000 on it.  So this way you are only using a smaller % of the total credit available.  So don't max anything out.

Call all credit cards to see if you are elegible for a lower rate.

    Pay on time

Pay down as much as you can.  Start w/ the lowest balance and work your way up.  the quicker you pay it off the faster you can use that money to put extra on the next lowest card.  Don't worry about paying off high interest cards first.  Its faster to pay lowest balance to free up that money.

  7. Yes, you should pay off your credit card.  But if you want a very strong credit score you need to deversify your credit lines.  The more lines of credit you have, the better it looks.  Some examples of Lines of credit are credit cards, car loans, personal loans, student loans and home loans.  Now getting these loans is just the first step.

Next you need to pay them off also, and pay them on time.  Your credit score is based on your "on time" payments and your amount borrowed vs. amount available.  So you can get a lot of credit like $75,000, but it doesn't look good if you owe $73000 to these lines of credit.

Basically, borrow money from a lot of different sources and pay them back on time.

  8. pay off all your debts (putting a little more cash towards the highest interest) once the high interest is gone, take that same money you were paying it, and move it to next highest interest.

Pay your bills and statements on time.

Get a credit check, and don't go applying for loans, it shows on your credit that you've been trying to get a loan
