Use a good brand of white liquid polish.

put a wet coat on and rub it wet using a rag to rub over the dirty scuffs and stains.

Then wipe it dry with a fresh cloth. as it begins to dry out, continue buffing a bit to produce a shine.

Then put a second coat of polish on, let it dry and buff it to a shine with a clean dry rag.

I would use peroxide. It whitens and cleans stains without breaking down the fiber or eating at a finish (will actuall turn plastics brittle).

I use a cotton ball or q-tip depending on the job.

Works very well and is safe.
