  1. Plant your feet before coming in contact. Keep your arms straight, but not stiff. Do not swing, use your legs.

  2. the best way to control it is to turn ur arms so they are level with the place u want to ball to go to. Like if your passing it to the setter you would face your body to the setter, or just turn ur body that way and dont swing your arms at all or u wont have any control

  3. When I'm bumping by myself i use my forearms cause it the best way to control the ball it does not go everywhere like when you hit it with your wrists.

  4. thats hot!

  5. Make sure your stance is right. Your back should be straight, your knees should be bent, and you should be low to the ground. When bump, use your legs to push up the ball, not your arms. Also, make sure your platform (arms) is straight and at the correct angle. Keep practicing!

  6. YOU SHOULD TRY NOT TO SWING YOUR ARMS

  7. on a hard hit let the ball hit you and dont jump or move your arms to far up the ball will be to wacked out not controlled at all

  8. keep your hips below the ball at all times... the lower the ball is, the lower you have to be

  9. Over the years my coaches have kept me to stay low.....and are you passing towards the setter? Because if you are you want to face the setter just a bit and get low and and just roll you're shoulders out, and just bump it up.

  10. ok mine wont be as long as any of the others but thats cuz i didnt copy and paste my answer....

so if you want controll, dont swing your arms. insted bind your legs and when the ball comes, spring up having your bellybutton facing where you want the ball to go. also keep your arms even so the ball will hit both sides at the same time.  if you want to do a side bump, then tilt your arms in the direction you want the ball to go but still dont swing. and when i say dont swing, you still can swing but barley and gentaly

  11. Hit the ball on your forearms...You do not want to swing your arms, because it changes the direction of the ball. Make sure you use your legs as well, moving up and down.

  12. By aming it to the setter

  13. Point your shoulders towards the way you want the ball to go and try to always line yourself up with the ball. Good Luck :]

  14. it very easy just make sure ur under the ball, ur knees are slightly bent, one foot is in front of the other one and ur arms r like a platform they're straight and flat. dont hit on ur hands make sure u hit it betweedn ur wrist and elbow. keep ur eyes on the ball and make sure ur facing where u want the ball to go.

  15. this is a similar activity to hack or juggling...the last bump dictates the difficulty of the next one. keep the ball going straight up and down as much as possible. having to move left or right makes it more difficult, moving back, even harder yet. If you have to miss hit it in one direction, forward is the easiest to recover from and get a good hit for the next bump.

keep your eye on the ball, and don't shrug your shoulders too much. stay loose and pretty soon you'll be thinking about going for twenty.

  16. Ok ten times to yourself, your legs are going to be used to give the ball height while your arms are going to be used to make the ball go straight up, by keeping your platform a little higher and more parallel to the ground you will enable the ball to go straight up, if you move your platform so it is not parallel to the ground then it will go forward and you will probably have to chase it a little, NEVER stand straight up always bend at your knees and hips so you stay low,  and never take your eyes off of the ball, if the ball goes anywhere besides right above you, make sure you move, get yourself under the ball and get low again, this is how you will be able to not let the ball drop because when it comes back down to the ground you will be there ready to pass it again. Hope I Helped!
