Whats the best way to deal with homesickness?

I'm going across the country today..

me and my sisters and my dad to meet my cousins for the 2nd time in 10 years D;

But i'm sure going to miss my mom.. whats the best way to help?

Take a CD with songs on that remind you of your mum, and stay in contact by mobile lots.

Call home.  Take a camera to capture your new experiences to share.  Above all, enjoy yourself so that you have fun memories to tell your mom about when you get home.
