These are some helpful steps you can use when you are trying to clean blood out of your carpet.

    Remember that you will need:

     Ammonia

A few white soft wash rags or any other wash rags that you prefer

A toothbrush or a small brush of some kind

Non bleach, mild detergent...MAKE SURE IT'S NOT BLEACH!!! Mixing bleach and ammonia will create a HIGHLY toxic gas that can kill you in seconds.

    Step One:

Use an absorbent cloth to blot the stain. Be careful not to scrub the stain of in any way allow the stain to spread. If you spread the stain it will be more likely the stain wont come out. Try to remember that if you have light colored or white carpet try to clean it up as fast as possible.

    Step Two:

Now it is time to apply detergent. All you need to do is apply a small amount of mild non-bleach detergent to the stain. If you have light colored carpet than you might want to wait a few minuets before going on.

    Step Three:

Use a small toothbrush or some kind of little brush. It doesn't matter what kind you use. This makes it easier to clean. Just remember if you use a larger brush than you risk making the stain bigger.

    Step Four:

Now blot up the blood stain with a dry washcloth and make sure that you clean it up the best you can, and try to clean it right after it happens or when you find it.

    Step Five:

Poor a small amount of ammonia on to what is left of the stain. Not any mater what color the carpet you need too let it sit for several minuets. This is to break down the stain and make it easier to clean.

    Step Six:

Now you will need to dry the stain the best that you can. How you do this is by blotting the stain with a dry wash cloth for a few minuets. Remember never scrub only blot.

    Step Seven:

Now apply a small amount of detergent directly on your stain, and use the little brush or tooth brush to scrub the soap in. Be sure not to apply too much, just the size of the stain should do.

    Step Eight:

Now blot the detergent and try not to scrub it. Don't use water just dry up some of the soap.

    Step Nine:

Now rinse the detergent out with some warm soapy water. This should be easy but if you have some difficulties try letting the water sit for a few minuets.

    Step Ten:

Now you will need to blot it up with a white dry wash cloth. Wait until it has completely dried than if needed repeat steps one through ten.

This should work for any blood stain you find on your carpet. If it has sat for a wile you might need to repeat the steps and if this still doesn't work try shampooer of some kind.

This is how to get blood stains out of your carpet.

  2. I have to take this stain out quiet often since I am girl that gets periods. So I use some Spray & Wash with Resolve. I spray it on the area of the stain and let it sit for about 5 minutes then I wipe and it gone.

  3. oxyclean is the best stain remover I have ever used.

  4. try hydrogen peroxide and baking soda...It has worked for me getting stains out.

Put the products on...let sit for a while so it can soak all the way through.
