I am CPR certified. And have been rafting my whole life.20+ yrs.I even have my own raft.My son and I are both river guides in washington. He only wants to do it on the weekends. But I could do it every day.I would even be willing to relocate.

  1. Start soliciting rafting outfitters / liveries. Find a river you love, a company you like, and start hitting them up this Fall for next season. Lots of raft guides move from area to area, river to river each year for change of pace, and following the snow melt.

We rafted the Grand Canyon last year - two of the guides were full timers on other rivers - one in CA and one in Colorado... They got on a waiting list with the GC rafting company, and oared our supply boats down the canyon.

Not a lot of money in the river guide business, but it's an amazing thing if you can swing it!  I'm jealous!
