Whats the best way to get rid of ants?

we hav had ants for so long in my house. WHATS THE BEST WAY TO GET RID OF THEM? without calling a pro. and we tried all the bug sprays but they still dnt work! they still find new passage ways to come in!!! plz help!!!!

Hey underdog is right.  Ants for some reason hate dishwashing soap.  Try a mixture of that with hot water ... they will go away

Ugh.  That's not fun at all, is it....

If I have a small infestation (say, in my kitchen), I vacuum the little suckers up with the Dirt Devil and then scrub the floor and counters with Dawn Dish Detergent.  Oddly enough, it works.  But since you've already tried the sprays, etc., I'm afraid you're gonna have to hire the big guns.  Yeah, I know you didn't want to do that, but they do get rid of them quickly and they do stay away after that.
