  1. Ultrasonic devices work for a few days, and then the rodents usually return.  Don't waste your money.

If you have 3 mice or less, use traps.  Victor makes good snap traps.  Bait with peanut butter.  Wrap a piece of thread 2 or 3 times around the trigger so the thread rests on top of the pb.  It will make it difficult for the mouse to steal the bait.

If you have more than 3 mice, the mice may reproduce faster than you can trap them.  Use poison.  D-Con contains brodifacoum, a "one-feed" poison that is very effective.  If you have pets or toddler children, make sure they cannot access the poison.  If the mice die in the walls, they will smell for a few days but the smell will go away.

Do you have pets?  Are their food bowls open to mice?  If yes to both, change their feeding schedule.  Put the bowls up high, say on top of the fridge.  Place them on the floor for set feeding times.  Never leave them for longer than an hour.  Your pets will adjust fast; they will be there and waiting at x o'clock.

Also, mouse-proof any trash or garbage containers.  Once you've done this, your mice will be hungry and more likely to respond to the bait.  Good luck!

  2. 1. Clean up what is attracting them.  2. A cat, 3. Mouse traps.

  3. Get a cat.

  4. remove habitat where possible, heavy ground cover ,buildings with large crawl area, easy access to pet food. bare the ground underpin buildings to make inaccessible, remove pet food when animal eats his fill .............tom

  5. get owls to nest near you.

    we had barn owls.

they eat a ton of them.

  6. Keep the building clean as a whistle. Make sure junk is not against walls. Makes sure everything is off the floor, minus furniture. Sweep and clean all corners , mop floor. Keep kitchen clean and garbage in containers. Make house keeping a constant priority.

Getting a predator pet i.e. cat, snake, giant toad, owl, tiny dog (tiny dogs have the worse temperament, so becareful.)

If your rodent problem exists in an older building and you are a tenant, unfortunately, as a single unit in a building, you may never eliminate them. Although, with precautions, you can severely reduce their occurrence within your own quarters.

Now if you mean in the garden, rake up everything, sticks, leaves, put in trash. Take away all hiding places for vermin keeping ground open and clear. Mind your plants of course. Plug all holes or openings to sheds, again. keep everything off the floor.

    A good mouse trap.

1 think flat wooden board. Foot long

    1-2 hinges

    1 rod for hinges

    5 gallon bucket

    peanut butter

fix hinge(s) to board. Insert thin rod in hinges. Secure rod to edge of "a table, stairstep, counter..." Peanut butter the over hanging top side of board with peanut butter. Position bucket under board so if a mouse walks out to the end for the peanut butter, the board will tilt down and the mouse will slide into the bucket, so position the bucket in such a way it will catch the sliding mouse.

This does work. Deposal of the little critters is up to the catcher. Take them to a feild and release them or just fill the bucket 1/3 of the way with water to drown them.

  7. get a cat...and don't feed him
