Whats the best way to give a 2 week notice?

my employer told me i was not allowed back until i got a doctors note for missing 2 days. Im pretty fed up with these guys...

I dont like my job, and I would like out.

Whats the best way to say I quit?

and also, during the last 2 weeks, is it really awkward?

Well, if he or she has sufficient probably cause that you were not SICK for those two days, and add on top of that the possibility that you miss a lot of work, call in a lot and fake sick..that's probably why he/she want's a doctors note. If you don't get one, you've basically been fired. If you are not welcome back without the note, I don't see a reason to give a 2 week notice, he/she isn't going to let you work. I'd just either go in and talk to your boss when they are NOT busy or call and state that you quit.

its best to just hand in a letter, but in my opinion i ALWAYS quit my job because once you get to the point that you hate your job and want to quit then waiting 2wks is extremely hard. and depending on your relationship with the employer they might just try n find a reason to fire you within that 2wks.

Walk in and say it, or letter.

And, yeah, it is.

Be prepared to walk beforehand: It's typical for them to give the boot either immediately, or before the 2 weeks is up.

If you have personal stuff, slowly start taking it out before you give notice: Nothing looks (or feels) less cool then giving your spiel and then being forced to carry one huge box tripping and picking up after yourself the whole way out with "enforcers" at your back.

You could always have one personal item you walk out with for effect: Like a book loudly entitled "Jobs that suck."

I remember an old saying.. dont trow old boots away before you have new one's..   but if that is sorted  just  walk in and say actactly what is you want to say  it would give you the best feeling ever  and you can walk away with your head high in the sky! dood luck
