  1. *Go to your local park. Find big, wide, open space

    .

*Rent some chairs. Some wicker chairs would be nice.

*Get some wide ribbon. With permanent marker, write each guest name on a ribbon. Then tie the ribbons to the wicker chairs.

*Bake your own cake. Get some-heart shaped (different sizes) pans and the ingredient needed. Then, try to get those wife and groom things that go on top of the cake.

*For the meal, just have a BBQ. Hamburgers, hot dogs, and pizza will be loved by everyone. For drinks, just get a REALLY big bowl and fill it with fruit punch. Get a ladle and some paper cups.

*Where you and your groom are supposed to stand, buy 3 pieces LONG wire. Get fake flowers with bendable stems and twist the flowers in the wire.

*For your flower girl and bridesmaids, just get some matching sundresses. Just let them wear something like flip-flops or sandals.

*There are lots of places for wedding dresses. I'll make a list...

*I'm not really sure wear to rent a tux for your groom, but if you google it you'll get some great sites.

    Hope this helps!

And congrats on your lucky day!

  2. There are lots of things that you can do.

One of the first things that you can do is to cut the guest list.  The more people you have the more expensive it is.

A lot of brides these days are opting for appetizer only or cake and punch receptions because of the cost of serving a full meal.

You can make all the food yourself - enlist the help of some friends and family members. Or, you could go down to Costco or Sam's Club and get some appetizers/trays there.

If you wanted to do a full meal you could do a BBQ. You can have chicken, steak, hamburgers, hot dogs, etc. Then you can just add some sides - potato salad, pasta salad, green salad, fresh fruit, devilled eggs, etc.

Or, if you wanted to go a different route you could serve an Italian meal - lasagna, baked ziti, garlic bread, green salad, etc.

Try to keep your bridal party small - the more people in the bridal party the more bouquets, boutionerres and gifts you need to buy.

You can do your own flowers or use silk ones.

Look on craigslist for a photographer. A lot of students will photograph the wedding for a good price.

Have your friend be the DJ. Hook up and IPOD to some speakers and have a playlist ready for the whole night.

You could have a talented friend make your wedding cake. Or, you could get a small round cake for the two of you to cut, then serve sheet cakes to the rest of your guests. Or do cupcakes.

You can get a great price on a used wedding gown online. Here are some places that you can look:

There are plenty of things you can do to cut costs. Ask friends and family for their help and ideas.

    Good luck!

  3. We are using a museum courtyard for $50

  4. keep the list small

at home or a local park

tents are expensive and completely necessary

do simple catering or picnic food, not gourmet and courses

have guest take photos and send copies to you

cupcakes instead of a big cake!

  5. find a friend with a cool backyard, ad double it as the site for the reception AND the ceremony. venue costs will be eliminated and you'll have a lot more cash to work with.

  6. Last spring, I helped my friend plan a beautiful lake side wedding. She had picnic baskets and that was her theme, "Life Is A Picnic!". We found really cheap complete picnic baskets at a place that was going out of business. Her budget was $1500.00. And that included a 3 day 2 night stay at a resort. She spent less then $1300.00.

  7. national park somewhere? it wud be soo pretty and pretty cheap!
