Whats the best way to heat and cool a 600 sq ft room? Its a guest house the main house is running a central ac. I have no room for any kind of unit inside but plenty of outdoor space and a sizable attic. I need something ENERGY EFFICENT! My power bill for the main house and the guest house was 510.00! In Alabama! Thanks!

Mitsubishi units work great.  Especially in Alabama.  You probably don't need natural gas heat in Alabama.  Heat pump will get you through those southern winters

you can try something like this  .many companies make these type of units  .also small efficient gas heaters work well too. and than an efficient a/c  unit .i have left links for three reputable companies

You need very little room on the inside and you have the necessary attic space for the ductwork.Get a little ton and a half and transition it in the corner of one of the rooms.It'll work just fine.

my grandparents friend has these in some of her rooms, and it works really well.

she has this really old house and they wanted to get new a/c thing instead of the in window thing...and so they found out about these, and they are really nice looking and work really well. I would know, because i went to her house this past month and in texas its hott and it works really well!! nice cool air!!

and she said during the winter, the heater works really nicley.
