  1. Trunking is the answer, you can paint it afterwards.

Cables behind things like skirting boards are not a good idea.

" no worry dear, i will just fix this here, (drill noises) B-A-N-G!" Oh i forgot i put the tv cable there last year"

Cables in walls should be vertical and have mechanical protection, surface trunlimg doesn't matter, you can see it and add more if you like)

  2. I Took skirting boards off   cables under   behind    then refixed  skirting

  3. You can get a bit of plastic conduit that is neat and can be painted or get a stainless or chrome pipe and run it down central to tv on wall then behind skirting, I did this and it looks very well

  4. yea, this is becoming more of an issue these days, true, the best way is to channel them into the wall, depending on your wall, its not to bad a job,as you've only got to channel into it about 10mm,and also the width of all the cables, its a job well done when you're finished.failing this they now make wooden trunking of all types, and this does look muck better than the white plastic,a friend of mine used it and it really doesn't look too bad.

  5. At the back of a cabinet maybe? You could raggle  the wall but make sure you get a skilled pair of hands to do the work as ive seen a few horror cowboys ruin walls

  6. This is quite a tricky one, as there going to be visible no matter what you try to do to hide them. Heres a web site, that may give you an idea on the best way.
