  1. I always turn evrything inside out, especially b4 hanging out to dry,to prevent fading colours by sunlight.Other than that, always follow instructions on labels.

  2. wash them at 30, turn them inside out especially jeans so the colour doesn't run, iron inside out and use plenty of fabric conditioner in your wash

  3. What I do, is I wash them and then let them hang dry...and once they are dry, instead of having to iron them, I put them in the dryer with this product called Refresh'n Dryer Towel, and it steams out the wrinkles and makes fabric soft and fluffy and it only takes 10 minutes. So, they dont fade or lose their color or start to fray by being dried in the dryer for an hour everytime you wash them.

  4. Follow the directions on the label.

  5. I follow the label directions as closely as possible.  But there are some routine things I do that seem to help.  I separate everything into color groups.  I also wash most of my best things in the delicate cycle, cold water.  There are very few items that I completely dry.  (casual tshirts, pajamas, sweats, etc) I tumble most items a short while and then hang to dry.  (A shower rod or a door rack can be used.)  I make sure everything is hung nicely to avoid wrinkling, etc.  I rarely have to iron unless I want something crisp.  I do turn jeans wrong side out if I don't want them to fade.  Sometimes I use a laundry bag if I consider the item to be delicate.  I also hook bra hooks to keep them from wrapping around the agitator and never dry those.  For several months now I've been using all free and clear detergent and love it.  I hope this helps!

  6. Inside out ... yes.

    Avoid tumble drying ... yes.

Also, wash anything you can in cold water, with a very gentle detergent, and use the shortest and lightest cycle that will get the job done.

The less you "do" to your clothes, the longer they'll look great.

Be sure to wash delicate stuff (underwear, lingerie, and other very lightweight items) either separately in a machine (gentle cycle) or hand-wash them if you can.  Hand-washing is actually best.  You can use Woolite or some other detergent made especially for delicates, and simply let the items soak clean in cool water.

Avoiding heat (hot water and heat-drying) is the most important thing for keeping your clothes looking like new.
