Whats the best way to learn SAT vocabulary, and ace the SAT english parts?

  1. Frankly, just memorizing words for the SAT is not going to help much. Consider this: what are the chances the words you memorized are actually going to be on the test, and even if they are... what are the chances you actually remember the definitions?

    I had a personal tutor, and we went over questions identical to the ones on the SAT... and any words I didn't know, I asked him, he told me, and I wrote it down. You can't memorize the words, but if they are in the context of a question it makes it a lot easier to learn them.

    Practice questions IDENTICAL to the types on the SAT critical reading. Don't use any types of questions that aren't because it will not help! Once you get the hang of the types of questions, it gets a lot easier. Most of it is logic.

    Good luck! One place to start is collegeboard.com and do the SAT question of the day every single day- it really helped me!
