Whats the best way to make a skimboard?

me and my friend have already been expirementing with different designs and techniques but i was woundering what other people thought. like what types of sealents to use and how to apply them or certain designs for noses and tails.

Use 1/4 inch plywood, shape it, bevel the edges.  

Coat with fiberglass and epoxy resin for durability.  My brother has three he made in 1967, tough as nails.

unless it is fiberglass, it won't work for riding waves. best idea, get a friends board, and try to copy it. the companies that make skim boards have been around for half a century. they know what they are doing.
