Whats the best way to remove cement from paving slabs?

Chip it away - then you could try jetwashing the last bits (not wildly successful though :(  )

Use a pick ax, break it off & then as shovel as a wedge. An electric grinder would spark, sending jets of cement across you.

Use an electric grinder - it will clear it off without the danger of the slab breaking.

Washing up liquid with very hot water, put into a bucket and dip in a course sweeping brushand just sweep the cement off.
