  1. I guess you would start by getting an agent and letting the right people know you are interested in such a career. Tell everyone you know until you get a lead and then follow up on it.

  2. I have done voice-overs and did you know it is the highest paying job in the acting world?

I am lucky enough to llive in Southern california so there are many chances to do voice work here!

Somethings to remember, do not smoke as this will change your voice and possibly destroy a perfect sound.  Practice tongue twisters and diction.

Below is a link to a voice-Over artist in Atlanta that might be able to help you!   You will need to find an agent eventually.

  3. you are awful young, and getting on a network may be near impossible.however you may try at a local radio station, advertising, or station breaks, anouncing the news,or perhaps reading it! the place to start is to ask mgmt if they have any intern openings(no pay but it's great expieriance)

  4. It's a great career but it's very hard to get into especially if you dont live in the right place. Features such as cartoons and major commercial projects are usually recorded in the bigger name locations like California, New York, Texas, and mabe even Chicago. Me, I live in Florida lol. An obvious alternative to this just to get your name out there is just to do local commercial projects (like local ad advertising), but even those are hard to find. Additionally, alot of the bigger paying jobs require you to be union registered, though the double edged sword is that you have the potential of getting more work without being a union member with risk of lesser pay. Union registry is also expensive (I think around the $2000.00 mark).

If you want to get into it, first practice. Then i'd try to find an entertainment agent. He may be able to set you up with a few studios also to get your demo recording out the way as well as set you up with a few jobs. Do your research first though. Agents can be thieves if you don't know what to look for. You could also record the demo yourself.

A good suggestion that I could recommend to you as well is join the voice acting alliance community. I'm also a member here under XTREEMAK. It's free and it's a great way to get practice in. You can find them here: http://www.voiceactingalliance.com . They will also give you advise for equipment if you want to start recording by yourself.

  5. I think a lot of cartoon shows actually cast adults to do teen/children voices. (Like Simpson for example).

I guess you can try to get auditions with Nick or Disney. Try looking online for any in your area. Not sure if doing voiceovers is the same as live-action. My guess would be it's easier to find work in California.
