Whats the best way to stop flys getting in my house?

Question

In this hot spell were having at the moment, the downstairs of my houst in oven run by fly's everywhere.

It's a clean house and well kept and no food stuffs left about yet it's driving me mental here!!.

I've tried keeping all the windows and doors closed after killing the ones i could find and blitzing the place with fly killer but it made no difference. The amount i used nearly killed me in fact before the d**n flys!!

Advise anyone please?

first of All

1. place gauze at your all main doors.

2.sprays are available to control them just spray them in your lawn and home .....don't do it on food :)

3.clean you floor with some antibacterial detergent so that they must not settle on your floor.

Take thre steps they will be reduced to minor

Check around outside for the source, such as animal f***s, etc.  Remove the source, and keep at least 30 feet around your home free of animal waste.

Check vents coming out of your home, on the roof.  Cover all vents with screening. Make sure all screens on windows and doors are free of holes and fit well.

If you have kids running in and out during summer, place a large floor fan pointed AT each door they use.  The wind from the fan keeps flies from entering.

We have horses, and we have had huge parties and done this, and not one fly got in our home!!

Don't use sprays, they are bad for you, and for the environment.  Fly paper, although gross, works well.

~~Fill ziplock bags halfway with water and hang around your outside doors. About 2-3 per door is perfect. For some reason it disorients them and the turn and fly the other way. Works great. For yourself or anywhere you want to sit and not be bothered with flies and mosquitoes, fill a spray bottle halfway with amber colored Listerine and the other half with water. Spray your skin and surrounding area. Lasts 3-4 hours before you have to reapply.~~

get you some fly ribbons and hang them up in the house and see if that will help they sell them at Wal-Mart ( CAREFUL THOUGH THE d**n THINGS ARE REALLY STICKY HOWEVER THEY WILL HELP OUT SOME) good luck at getting rid of the flys

if they can get in even when all the doors and stuff are closed, you may have a hole in your vent that leads outside.....i have that but i see bee's and not flies, have had about 8 bees this summer, and many spiders too....you may wanna check your vents, maybe you need to put a screen on them or something
