  1. In my opinion, I think either way you're still going to be putting in an equal amount of work. It's not like if you take the prep course, you'll magically get a perfect score. The SAT is basically logic and no one can teach you how to reason. Both would require you to do at least some sort of extra practices on your own. So why pay hundreds and thousands of dollars when you can self study on your own? But then again, I guess it's also helpful for teaching you test-taking techniques and how to tackle different sorts of problem in so and so amount of time. Anyways, good luck! Hopefully you'll do really well :]

  2. yes you can increase your score a little by Princeton. You can improve it still more by using a tutor. Tutors in India and Philippines are are cheap and often good. You can email me for that.

  3. i think it will be worthwhile to go to the princeton to raise some points but this all depends on you

you may not like going to classes and you may prefer individual effort, then that is the way to go.

  4. It really depends on how you learn. If you usually can learn things on your own quickly, is motivated and studious, and have good test taking skills then it's not worth it to pay for SAT prep. All SAT prep classes teach you the same basic test taking skills that you can learn from a princeton review book. The only real benefits these prep classes can give you are:

    1. feedback on practice tests to better pinpoint your weakness.

    2. Someone to explain what the prep books all say if you are not good at learning from a book.

    3. Forcing you to do practice problems because you tend to procrastinate and do not have the will power to do at least one practice test a week.

Whether you take the classes or use a book, it all comes down to mastering test taking skills, doing lots of practice problems and studying your weaker subjects.
