Whats the best way to tease your hair?

Question

well i got my hair cut and she cut it where it would be poofy (lots and lots of layers) so now every time i tease my hair the comb gets stuck

please help

btw. my hair is like an inch past my shoulders and its straight

After I shampoo my hair, I use a "spray in/ leave in" gel to keep the style in longer. Start at the scalp area  when teasing the hair & only tease the hair about 3/4 of the way upward. Do that all over, spray with a firm holding hair spray, then take a pick or a small toothed comb & smooth the unteased hair in downward motions. Don't disturb the teased hair when doing so or you'll lose your volume. I still tease my hair, but it's short. I don't have a perm in it, so after I use a curling iron on my hair, I let the curls cool, so they don't come out, then, I brush through my hair. I use a plastic pick & start teasing. Use a firm holding hair spray to keep the style in place.

get a small comb and take your hair in section then when your done hairspray all over

Take a super thin comb,  and put it a little further up from your hair root, and move it up and down fast. Make sure the comb is very very very thin otherwise it won't work!

you have to do it in pieces. i have really long hair, but its pretty thick so teasing can be hard for me. spray hair spray on the underside of the piece that your teasing and then tease it. after you've done all that just smooth out the top.

you may have to look into getting a bigger or thicker comb too. sometimes i actually use a small brush.
