  1. i agree with My Grain regarding mumbai, delhi and agra are fine and instead of Mumbai u could visit jaipur . u could travel to all these  places by road as delhi and jaipur is 5 hours by road and its the same for delhi and agra. dont think of using planes as they run frightfully late all the time. all these places are very well connected by bus and the Volvo  AC bus which is the best charges around 450 RS between delhi and jaipur. have a wonderful trip

  2. If you want the smooth ride, you want to fly. But if you like adventure then take Train!

  3. Delhi is worth seeing, give Mumbai a miss,it's expensive and it's real nasty and everybody is desperate to get out after one night,Agra's okay, you have the Taj.Just think there's better areas to see and the time of year is questionable-came back from India early last year in May cos monsoon was on it's way and it was getting unbearably hot and not many westerners there. You can get some cheap flights now as there's more competition and in the low season especially but try the train for one of the jouneys as it's an experience(book a 2nd class sleeper-top bunk).Don't forget to buy your chain and padlock to lock your stuff up on the train).DON'T TRUST ANY OF THEM-AND I MEAN, ANY OF THEM!!!!

Trains cost peanuts-even sleepers.I worked out I probably could've  travelled from one end of India to the other on a sleeper for about £20 or less.Flights.I flew fom Goa to Delhi for about £40 and it was well worth it!

  4. Delhi-Mumbai - Flight or Superfast trains like Rajdhani Experss.

Delhi-Agra- You may find conducted tours by luxury a/c buses or Taxi. A train called Shatabdi starts at 6 AM from Delhi to reach Agra by 8 AM. Same returns in the night 8 PM to 10 PM.

Sure you need to be careful, but you will meet many nice trustworthy people too.

    Bon Voyage.
