  1. Swim or drive

  2. the train is good. there are many train stations in madrid or near madrid so i would recommend that. i`ve been on the train several times & it was kind of fun. but be aware of pickpockets, tons and tons of them around.

  3. Train: You may go to Chamartin train station and get the Madrid-Paris train (It leaves at 7 pm and arrives in Paris at 8 am). Later, you get the Eurostar and it takes about 2.30 hours to get London.

Ship: You may drive to Santander or Bilbao (I think) and get a ship to Dover or Plymouth.

  4. You can take a train from Madrid to Paris, then take the Eurostar (channel tunnel train) from there to either Ashford, on the british coast or directly to London itself...

Or...you can drive to Bilbao or Santander on the northern spanish coast, take a ferryboat (car included) and drive from the port they arrive at in the U.K. up to London (remember in the U.K. they drive on the other side of the road!). Whichever you choose, have a nice trip!

P.S. You can also drive from Madrid to Calais on the french coast, and take a ferry across to Dover. And you could also put your car in the Eurostar train.

  5. Well, train is an option, Madrid to Paris with Renfe, 13:30 hrs., it costs the cheaper 30 euro, the sleeper about 100 euro one way; then from Paris to London the Eurostar, which cost around 75 euro one way.

Check plane, it MAY be CHEAPER. About 100 euro total.

  6. I used the train quite a bit when I was there.  It is actually quite fun.

(I also hitchhiked with a friend, but you really need to be careful if you choose that way).
