  1. If you have a washing machine stick on normal or quick wash 40 degrees with softener and peg out to dry

  2. on a 40degree wash with loads of softener but also three tennis balls so as to keep the duvet fluffy or spongy

  3. If it won't fit into your machine you will need to go to the launderette.  Use the dryer at the launderette to get mostly dry and finish off outside on the line and air well afterwards.

  4. single ones go in my washing machine on a normal wash, I have always had to take my larger ones to a dry cleaners because I can not get them in the washing machine.

  5. Take it along to the launderette and use the big washing machines.  Put a few drops of ti-tree oil to freshen and clean (in addition to appropriate soap of course).  Put a couple of tennis balls in the dryer if the duvet is feather or down and these will help to fluff up the feathers.  Dry it very thoroughly. I do mine every year.  Its king size goose down and a service wash and dry was only £13.00 (about two weeks ago).
