Question:

Whats the best way to work out a stiff neck?

im on day three and my neck muscle just gets worse and worse. i cant turn my head, hurts to cough or even breathe. is there anything i can do besides going to a Dr.?

  1. go to an acupuncturist. i went when i had a stiff neck and two days later my neck was better.


  2. Get a heat pad and put it under your shoulders and lay down, then take hot soothing shower, then pain pills. Then if that doesn't work then get a massage

  3. yes, what I advise you to do is take a hot shower, and make sure that you direct the hot water to the places where you feel pain, rub your neck while directing the hot water on it, after doing this, put some (deep heat) lotion on your neck and go to sleep, the next morning you'll feel like a bran new mercedes !

    btw the deep heat lotion, can be found at any pharmacy..

    It'a a really strong cream, and it'll sting at first,

  5. you could try alternating hot and cold packs, ten minutes each for a couple of hours.  

  6. you should put a hot rice pack on it or something hot and strech it only sometimes.  

  7. I often have the same issue. Take 4-600 mg of ibuprofen, Also taking a hot shower helps. I get a massage once a week as well. Seems to help. Also, you can take two tennis balls, put them into a tube sock and tie off the top. While standing against a wall, put the sock on your neck and do semi-squats. This should relieve some of the pressure. If the pain is really bad, you may need to go to the dr to get pain meds and muscle relaxers.
