  1. If your in the U.K dont bother snagging ,youll end up in all sorts of trouble.

As already suggested floating crust,or dog biscuits I wouldn't bother with a hair rig,12 or 15 pound mainline, thread mainline through the eye of the swivel on a controler float, then through a 3or4 mm bead then tie on a swivel to the other end of the swivel tie a 5 to 6 foot lengh of florocarbon to this add a size 6 hook bait this with an inch diameter piece of crust or a couple of dog biscuit and your ready to go.

         hope that helps

  2. Freeline breadcrust with a hair rig

  3. well, i never top fished for them, because they genneraly feed on the bottom, but it id a fact that the feed on all levels of the water. im kindas old fashoned, mainly cus im to poor to update.

  4. My preferred method when they are on top is either snagging if it is legal where you are from. Shooting them with a bow and arrow is my favorite method, but again, see if it is legal

  5. usually free lining bread crust but you get pestered by ducks , i prefer to use free lined dog biscuit attached using a bait band. you can be a bit more aggressive in the cast and the ducks don't seem to be that bothered about. try also dying a couple with cochineal as an alternative bait. it works.

  6. just ut a piece of bread on the hook no weights or floats so it just floats and when a carp takes it dont strike because it will just pull the hook out of the bread.
